The metric used for A2IM award certification combines album sales, song sales, and on-demand audio streaming.

Album Equivalent activity is a measure of combined weighted streaming, digital, and physical sales figures converted to one (1) album unit.

Weighted Audio Streams:

1,250 premium on-demand audio streams = 1 album sale

3,750 ad-supported on-demand audio streams = 1 album sale

Weighted Song Sales:

10 digital song sales = 1 album

Album sales:

1 purchased album = 1 album

Weighted On-Demand Audio Streams + Weighted Song Sales + Album sales = Album Equivalent units

Here are the top reasons submissions are declined:

1. The album's total equivalents did not meet the required threshold for certification
2. The UPC submitted for the album was not found in the Luminate system
3. ISRCs for the album were not found in the Luminate system
